- Day 1- Guatemala City - Antigua:
Meet and greet at the hotel, transfer to Antigua Guatemala
- Day 2 – Antigua – Pacaya Volcano - Antigua:
Breakfast tour to Pacaya volcano, which is one of the most popular tours in Guatemala. Transfer to San Vicente Pacaya, where the adventure begins. From this point it takes about two hours to reach the summit. Most of the time, you can see boiling lava in the crater. End of the tour, return to Antigua.
- Day 3 – Antigua – Guatemala City - Flores:
Transfer to the airport to board a local flight to Flores, transfer to the hotel, breakfast and departure to Tikal archeological site. Guided tour of the Mayan site, we will have lunch in the park, transfer back to Flores.
Tikal: Enter the mystical and imposing Tikal National Park in a unique and unforgettable experience in the Petén jungle, visiting temples, pyramids and monuments that meant for our Mayan ancestors astrological predictions, wars and stories of their own existence. The tours start from Flores, on your way you will learn a little bit of history. Lunch and guide included.
- Day 4- Flores – Rio Dulce – Livingston:
Breakfast, departure to Rio Dulce, transfer by boat on a fabulous tour of the Lake Izabal to reach the Garifuna community in Livingston where we will spend the night.
- Day 5 – Livingston - Copan:
Breakfast, transfer to Rio dulce to board our bus and head to Copan, accommodation at the hotel, dinner at the famous “Hacienda San Lucas”.
Hacienda San Lucas: Located in a privileged place for its spectacular views, you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets, an exquisite Honduran dinner, and we might be able to see the ancient Mayas walk trough the forest of Copan, the legend says that they still habit this mystical forest…
- Day 6 – Copan Ruins:
Breakfast, departure to Copan Ruins, archeological tour, transfer to the hotel.
Copan Ruins: Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is a city that impress all the senses. It covers an area of 2 square kilometers, Copán stands out for having the most ornate buildings with sculptures. The most prominent structure is the Hieroglyphs Stairway, built in its final form by the fifteenth ruler in 755 AD; it is the largest stone text in the Maya area.
- Day 7 – Copan Ruins – La Esperanza - Gracias:
Breakfast, departure. The cold city of La Esperanza is one of the last bastions of the Lenca culture, the memory of this civilization can be found in its tasty food, beliefs, dress and customs. Gracias, a city that have a lot to offer in colonial architecture, was once, the first capital of Central America. It`s four churches that are considered national monuments reveals the colonial past of the city.
- Day 8 – La Esperanza - Tela:
City tour before leaving to Yojoa Lake, The cold city of La Esperanza is one of the last bastions of the Lenca culture, the memory of this civilization can be found in its tasty food, beliefs, dress and customs. Departure to Tela.
- Day 9 – Tela – La Ceiba
Breakfast, guided tour to Punta Sal National Park. (Lunch included), In the evening after the tour we will departure to the city of La Ceiba, (better known as the girlfriend of Honduras for their famous carnival), Lodging at La Ceiba.
Punta Sal: one of the parks with the most natural wealth and beauty in the north coast. Swamps, mangrove forest, rocky beaches, white sand beaches coral reef and coastal lagoons are part of the park’s ecosystem.
- Day 10 – La Ceiba:
Breakfast, guided tour to Cayos Cochinos. (Lunch included)
Cayos Cochinos: A composition of 2 large islands and 13 small cays, a protected area home of the Garifuna community, name cultural heritage of humanity by the UNESCO, where you will be able to see their unique lifestyle and to enjoy delicious dishes prepared by the Garifuna community itself.
- Day 11 – La Ceiba – San Pedro Sula:
Breakfast, departure to San Pedro Sula so you can board your international flight.
