- Day 1 – Tegucigalpa
Meet and greet at the airport, transfer to the hotel.
- Day 2 - Tegucigalpa:
Breakfast, city tour where you will visit the historical center of Tegucigalpa the famous “Cristo Picacho” where you will have an unique panoramic view of the city. At noon we will visit “Santa Lucia” and “Valle de Los Angeles”, after lunch we will have a guided tour of the local market and church. Back to Tegucigalpa.
- Day 3. Tegucigalpa-Comayagua-La Esperanza
Early in the morning we will leave to Comayagua, also named the colonial city of Honduras. Guided tour of the city, you will visit the Cathedral, where the oldest clock of America and the second oldest in the world is located and finally the colonial museum. By the afternoon, departure to La Esperanza. A town located in the heart of the Lenca route, a wonderful destination for its unique scenery.
- Day 4. La Esperanza- Gracias
City tour before leaving to Gracias, The cold city of La Esperanza is one of the last bastions of the Lenca culture, the memory of this civilization can be found in its tasty food, beliefs, dress and customs.
Gracias, a city that have a lot to offer in colonial architecture, was once, the first capital of Central America.
It`s four churches that are considered national monuments reveals the colonial past of the city.
- Day 5. Gracias-Santa Rosa de Copán
Early in the morning we will go to La CAMPA, where we will be able to appreciate the making of the orange mud Lenca pottery and great views in the trail. A visit at the Museum Lenca is made and then continue the tour to the workshop of Mrs. Desideria, where she and her daughter produce some wonderful pieces of ceramic. It is possible to be part of the process of creation where the visitor can create and shape with their hands such creation that the Lencas for several years now have been developed. After our tour to La Campa we will go back to Gracias where it is possible to visit the Church of San Sebastian, which is considered one of the oldest in Latin America, and a view to Fort San Cristóbal built in the 19th century where the tomb of former Honduran President Juan Lindo is also located. In the afternoon departure to Santa Rosa de Copan.
- Day 6. Santa Rosa de Copan – Copán
Breakfast, we will visit the most important places of Santa Rosa de Copan, then we will visit the tobacco factory which is one of the largest ones in the country. Transfer to the Mayan City of Copan.
- Day 7 - Copán Ruins
In the morning we will visit the National Park of Copán ruins, in a guided tour, which in addition to being named world heritage by UNESCO, is considered the Athens of the Mayan civilization, after having been a city of science and elite. In the afternoon visit to the Macaw Mountain Bird Park, a special experience to see the diversity of birds and have a coffee in the middle of nature, ending the day with a dinner at the famous Hacienda San Lucas.
- Day 8 - Copán - Tela
In the morning we will check out from hotel to do a coffee tour in Finca Santa Isabel, where we will enjoy a delicious coffee of height in the middle of the plantations at the foot of the mountain. After lunch we will go out towards Tela Bay where we will have our lodging.
- Day 9 - Tela -La Ceiba
Breakfast, guided tour to Punta Sal National Park. (Lunch included), In the evening after the tour we will departure to the city of La Ceiba, (better known as the girlfriend of Honduras for their famous carnival), Lodging at La Ceiba.
Punta Sal: one of the parks with the most natural wealth and beauty in the north coast. Swamps, mangrove forest, rocky beaches, white sand beaches coral reef and coastal lagoons are part of the park’s ecosystem.
- Day 10 - La Ceiba –Cayos Cochinos-La Ceiba
Early in the morning s will do a tour towards Cochinos Keys, where we will be able to visit some of 2 islands and 13 keys located in the Honduran Carib, constituting one of the most virgin’s reservations of the country. We will be able to go in search of the pink Boa, being the only place in the world where they will be able to observe and to visit the key Chachahuate, where there lives a Garifuna Community for more than 300 years. Lodging at La Ceiba.
- Day 11 - La Ceiba-Cuero y Salado- Roatán
Early in the morning we will go on a tour to the Cuero y Salado Reserve. At the end of the tour we will go back to La Ceiba to take our ferry to Roatan, Bay Islands. Lodging at Roatan.
Cuero y Salado: Home to the Caribbean Manatee, an endangered species that lives within the network of creeks, lagoons and coast line. There is a mixture both fresh and salt water, the reserve being right at the ocean’s edge. From La Union, we catch a ride on the old railway to reach this wildlife refuge, and then by boat or canoe we explore the mangrove lagoons. Manatees, monkeys, alligators and a variety of birds are all part of the highlights of this protected and diverse habitat.
- Day 12 - Roatán
Free day to enjoy, rest, relax or take any additional activity they wish.
- Day 13 - Roatán
Guided tour to discover the most important places of the island and its history, meet some of the Garifuna communities, French Harbour, Coxen Hole, “Parque dos monos” and the most beautiful views and landscapes of Roatan.
- Day 14 - Roatán
Transfer to Roatan airport to take your flight to Tegucigalpa or San Pedro Sula (depending on customer convenience) to connect to your international flight or continue your trip.
